Style means never having to say you're sorry

Okay so as some of you may know I've succombed to the phenomenon of the showtime series Weeds. If you haven't gotten into it, you should totally check it out. I am freakishly obsessed. As i'm trying to cram in the last few seasons before I leave Friday, I started thinking of the eco friendly concept, for clothing that is ;)

Sureee, now being "eco friendly" is considered somewhat of a cliche, all the celebs do it, yatta yatta, but I thought it may be fun to do a little research a few "go green" campaigns. Eco Friendly textile continues to become more and more popular.

Raw materials for eco clothing are usually planted in one place. When harvested, they are processed into yarn, and then yarn is woven into fabric, which is later sent to coloring. Only after these actions a manufacturer gets the fabric and produces clothes.
Another reason I started my research was because I read an article stating that the Parisian it crowd has decided it's glamorous to be eco-friendly. H&M and Monoprix are both offering clothing lines made of organic cotton, and Agnès b. is in the game as well, with bags made of recycled material. The heart of eco-friendly shopping in Paris is Nature et Découvertes. This is the epitamy of adventurous and is also a major player on the "écolo" scene in France. In addition to camping equipment, you can now find a wide range of predictable (organic soaps, organic cotton sleepwear) and unpredictable ways to ecologize your daily life.

Now I'm not one to preach, but I am a bit of a hippie, I have to admit. Organic clothing is natural and healthy. 100% organic cotton, bamboo, and hemp clothing last long. If you dress for comfort, the fibers used are breathable. Organic cotton is not man-made in chemical laboratories by large corporations; not artificially grown using chemicals.
Another great fact is that Organic garments let your skin breathe. They are warm in winter and cool in summer. Tops made of organic cotton will run you 30$-40$, and dresses are about 60$-100$.

--Enamore.com
Enamore is a UK based retailer that specializes in selling clothing, lingerie and accessories from organic, sustainable and vintage fabrics.
Urban Renewal (from Urban Outfitters) is hands down one, if not my favorite. Urban Renewal pieces are totally one-of-a-kind - handcrafted in Philadelphia from vintage, deadstock and surplus materials sourced from around the world.

If all of this just seems too much, and you are on a budget like yours truly, just have fun recycling on your own! A nice way is just changeing up old pieces, such as adding a few new buttons or embellishments. You can also visit my cousin Michael and my best friend/ roommate Rachael Landry, and recycle/sell your clothes at her store, Plato's Closet.

A fun way to reflect on this idea- By one of my own fashion icons, Gwen Stefani
"Would you say they find me unstable
'Cause they see me act a little bit different
But I know my way to greener pastures and
Think about it, won't you think it over
Please"
Greener Pastures- No doubt
